Master of Physiotherapy

M.P.T. ( 2 Years full time)

Under the guidance of World Confederation of Physiotherapy, The Indian Association of Physiotherapists aims to streamline the standard of physiotherapy education in our Country. One of the aims is to offer higher education to the graduates of physiotherapy. Based on these, on postgraduate education will be able to meet the challenging needs of the Health Services provision as well as physiotherapy education in India. At BIMLS, we offer Master in Physiotherapy in three specialties.

At the end of the completion of Master of Physiotherapy the Post graduate students will be able to -

• Apply advanced knowledge of clinical science to problem solving.
• Gather and interpret information within a holistic frame work.
• Design, implement and monitor appropriate therapeutic Programmes.
• Apply scientific principles to the concepts of health, illness and disability.
• Promote health.
• Appraise the social and political context of health care.
• Undertake independent research projects
• Promote physiotherapy education
• Appraise action and social skills of self and others.

Eligibility :

A bachelor of physiotherapy degree certificate with not less than three and half years duration (including six months of internship) from any University within India or equivalent degree from any other recognized University. Candidates holding qualification regarded as equivalent in standard to the above, may be considered subject to the approval of the academics senate on recommendations of Board of Studies (WBUHS).
